“The 6th Airport Development Comprehensive Plan(2021~2024)” Gyeongsangbuk- do is currently proposing New Daegu-Gyeongbuk Airport replacing current Taegu Int’l Airport(IATA: TAE) with expansion of local aerospace industry infrastructure by 2030.
City of Gumi; the region holding GADLEX 2025 is recently assigned as Defense Innovation Cluster(June, 2023) and Drone Regulation-Free Special Zone(July, 2023).
Gumi City is seeking possibilities for developing future aerospace & defense industry and global cooperations.
With strong traditional manufacture infrastructure including major companies like LIG Nex1 and Hanwha Systems, position of Gyeongsangbuk-do & Gumi City is regional hub for supply chain and market.
